After the Zirkle Mill was saved, the new owners
of the mill, Robert Andrews and Sherryl Belinsky, held a community celebration. Attending were members
of the Zirkle Mill Foundation and the Save the Zirkle Mill organization, County Supervisors, Director of the VA
Department of Historic Resources Kathleen Kilpatrick, Exec. Director of APVA Preservation Virginia Elizabeth Kostelny,
Delegate Todd Gilmore and the Colonel Fielding Lewis Chapter of the Virginia Society of the Sons of the American Revolution.
During the Celebration, time was taken to remember local historian and genealogist Blair Zirkle who took a great interest
in the restoration of the mill in the 1980's and convinced the owner at the time Glen Hofecker to submit the mill for inclusion
on the Virginia Historic Landmark Registry and the National Register of Historic Places. Rob Andrews surprised his daughter Lisa
by giving her the honor of mounting the new Historic Register Plaque on the mill.
